Becker Slam Volleyball is designed for those girls who want to play Varsity Volleyball and beyond from the Becker, MN school district. Players must be dedicated to the game of volleyball as practices are intense and focused on player and team developement. Slam team's play approximately 40-50 matches per season. Players must be dedicated to learn how to win and how to learn from losing. Playing time is based on time earned.
We are members of the Heartland Association. The season runs from Nov - April.
Tryouts for the 2009 season are in October of 2008.

April 12th - Buffalo
Slam finishes season with 1st Place Medals
The Becker Slam overcame a slow start of the tournament to come back to beat Albany in the Championship Game of the Copper Division to end the season with 1st place medeals. The Slam finished their season with an overall record of 31-25.
April 5th & 6th St. Cloud
Slam takes a pair of 5th place Finishes in St. Cloud.
The Becker Slam Volleyball team to 5th place in the Champship Bracket losing in the Championship Bracket to Hutchinson 14-1 who they had beaten earlier in the day. In the Granite City Tournament Becker Beat Willmar, Sauk Rapids and Grand Forks but lost to MN Premiere in The Championship Bracket to tie for 5th.
March 1 - Onamia
Slam takes 2nd in Mille Lacs Thaw Tournament
A budding rivalry is beginning to take place between the Becker Slam and Little Falls. Little Falls beat Becker 2 games to 1 earlier in the season. At the Mille Lacs Thaw tournament in Onamia Becker defeated Little Falls 2 games to 1 in pool play and the two teams met again in the Championship of the Gold bracket. After splitting the first two games the teams seasawed back and forth and Little Falls put on the last run to beat the Slam 15-12 in the championship game.
Feb 17 - Chaska
Slam wins Goodhue County Division at 18th Annual President's Day Festival
After finishing 2nd in the silver division at Mizuno earlier the the year the Heartland Becker 14 Slam Volleyball team defeated Minnetonka, Elk River and Eden Prairie to take first place in the Goodhue County Division of the 18th Annual Presidents' Day Festival.
